5 Things your Wedding Guests DGAFF About

Like there is not enough pressure on the bride already. Now you want her to think about and spend money on stuff that the guests are not even going to give a flying squirrel about. Here is a short list to help ease your mind. Yes girl, I got you.

Cute Little Favors

How many times have you gone to a wedding and taken home the cute little favors? You might even leave it behind when you make your exit. Yes they look aesthetically pleasing, but that's all. Spend that money on something else like a bartender that would make excellent cocktails.

The invitation

Keep it simple. It is not worth it to spend a ton of money on the invitations especially if you have a tight budget. In fact a route most couples are taking now is evites. You can see immediately who has RSVPed, communicate with your guests, update them etc.

The linens

As a wedding guest, I really don't pay attention to the linen on the table. So go simple on it. As long as I eat my food on a clean plate that's all that matters. Getting those designer or high end linens are not necessary for that bride with a limited budget.

The Dress

This may be a bit controversial, but personally, I think that blowing your bridal budget on a fancy-gown just to wear it for a few hours and never again is less than practical. It’s not what you wear but how you wear it, in my opinion, as long as you’re comfortable and feel your best, most beautiful self, that's all that matters. Don't get me wrong, that’s not to say that guests won’t remember an outlandish or ill-fitting dress, but if the bride is rocking a beautifully tailored gown that makes her look and feel like the goddess she is, guests won’t bat an eyelash at the lack of designer label.

The cake

Gone are the days when couple had to have tall tiers of cake for their wedding. These days you can have anything. From sheet cakes to multiple single layer cakes with your favorite flavors, cupcake towers. Sweets spread/ dessert table with all kinds of sweet goodness. Its your wedding. Do what makes you happy. All the guests are going to remembers is that it tasted so good!
